Scott Makela is a Cranbrook graduate and professor whose cutting-edge design is well-known for its use of 3-dimensional typography and bold, ironic imagery. To announce his speaking engagement, we designed a poster that referenced the well-publicized division in the industry over whether Makela's work was valid or not. The poster was perforated down the middle so the viewer could literally choose the side they were on.
