Client: focus2 Type: Posters focus2 Holiday Type Series This holiday poster series was conceived as a tribute to classic type design. Each holiday from October 2008 through Summer of 2009 we'll be exploring classic fonts, their history, origins and expressions of the holiday seasons with illustrative type explorations. In addition, each poster will be available as desktop wallpapers which can be downloaded from our goodies section.
www.focus2.comPoster Copy: Dracula is Grotesque Bram Stoker meet Hermann Berthold. Classic Killer Type 01 Akzidenz-Grotesk was the first widely-used sans serif typeface. It was released in 1896 by German foundry H. Berthold AG, making it over one hundred years old. Released just one year later, Dracula, by Bram Stoker made just as big an impact, popularizing vampire folklore in cinema and pop culture until this day. These two classics have been brought together by focus2 brand development to celebrate the season and the classics which continually inspire and motivate us. ![]()
